The only way I have found to restore the WiFi is to uninstall and then re-install the Netgear WiFi utility and I am getting very tired of having to do this. When I open the Netgear utility and try to refresh the settings it refuses to take them. Once every two or three days the WiFi connection just drops as if the Netgear antennae has somehow forgotten what is is supposed to do. I have tired to find updates for the antennae with no success and my calls and emails to Netgear give no help. I am using the utility that came on a CD with the WiFi antennae to manage the WiFi in my computer. The distance from the router to my computer (as the crow flies) is approx 30 feet and there are 3 walls in between. Supposedly the unit is rated at 450 Mbps. It's an Ubee modem/router which I have never heard of. The modem/router I am using is some sort of generic or house brand that I got when I got Cox TV and Internet. The antennae is a USB type that plugs into a USB port on my computer. The WiFi antennae is a Netgear N300 (I think their stock number is WNR3100). The computer is running Windows 8.0 with all the updates installed. I have an HP Desktop computer with the AMD A4 CPU and 4 Gigs of RAM. I am having a problems with the WiFi in my condo where the USB WiFi antennae keeps dropping the signal and I am out of ideas.
